Mandai Wildlife Reserve tickets cost less on weekdays all through the year-end holidays. On 29 October Mandai's own price list showed a local resident with a free WildPass paying S$39 for an adult and S$27 for a child at Singapore Zoo on a weekday, against S$44 and S$30 at weekends and on public holidays. The festive extra is Zoolympix: Stars of Mandai Festive Challenge, 7 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, ten animal-inspired challenges at Mandai Wildlife EAST that local residents can enter free with selected admission tickets.

Beyond weekends and public holidays, three things move the price: the school holidays from 21 November (Curiosity Cove goes to peak rates), and Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, which Night Safari prices as peak nights.

At a glance

  • Zoolympix: 7 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, Village open daily 10am to 7pm (Zoolympix page, Mandai Wildlife EAST page).
  • Launch weekend: 7 to 9 November, 10am to 5pm on the Mandai Wildlife East Lawn, with a meet-and-greet with Tamarind the Tapir and a windmill workshop.
  • Local entry: free Zoolympix Village access and a S$10 retail and food voucher "with selected attraction admission purchases", terms applying.
  • Local adult tickets on a regular day: S$34 (Exploria) to S$48 (Night Safari), at WildPass rates on the single-attraction price list.
  • School holidays: 21 November to 31 December for primary and secondary pupils, on the MOE calendar.
  • Public holidays ahead: Deepavali on Sunday 8 November (MOM lists Monday 9 November as a holiday for those whose rest day falls on the 8th), Christmas Day on Friday 25 December and New Year's Day on Friday 1 January 2027, on MOM's holiday list.

What is Zoolympix, and does it cost extra?

Zoolympix previously ran at Singapore Zoo and River Wonders from 25 May to 25 August 2024 (Mandai's 2024 announcement); this edition is built around the Stars of Mandai, the reserve's named animals such as Ah Meng the orangutan and Karma. The Village holds ten challenges grouped as agility, balance, discovery and survival. You collect a stamp for each and earn a Zoolympian medal. Five Outposts inside the wildlife parks add bonus challenges and photo spots. Partner extras include a Families for Life bouncy castle, a POSB play shop in the Village, an AIA digital trail at Rainforest Wild Adventure until 3 January, and free Anywheel rides to or from official Mandai Wildlife EAST or WEST stations.

Local residents get free Village access with *selected* admission purchases, but Mandai's pages do not list which tickets qualify or what the Village costs on its own. For overseas visitors, Zoolympix Village counts as one of the attractions on the Destination Pass. Check that the Village is included at checkout before you pay.

What do Mandai tickets cost in November and December?

These are the local resident rates (adult / child) Mandai listed on 29 October; the page says they already include WildPass pricing. A child is aged 3 to 12, local students pay the child rate, seniors aged 60 and above paid S$25 everywhere except Curiosity Cove, and children under 3 enter free with a ticket-holding adult over 21.

  • Singapore Zoo: S$39 / S$27 regular; S$44 / S$30 peak.
  • Bird Paradise: S$39 / S$27 regular; S$44 / S$30 peak.
  • River Wonders: S$35 / S$26 regular; S$40 / S$29 peak.
  • Rainforest Wild Adventure: S$45 / S$32 regular; S$50 / S$35 peak.
  • Night Safari: S$48 / S$32 regular; S$52 / S$36 peak.
  • Exploria: S$34 / S$25 regular; S$36 / S$26 peak.
  • Curiosity Cove: S$43 regular and S$45 peak for one child with one adult.

WildPass is free for Singapore citizens, permanent residents and Employment Pass, Work Permit or Dependant's Pass holders aged 15 and above, with a one-time Singpass check. Its FAQ says the card is personal, the discount does not stack with other promotions, and you enter your WildPass email at the order review page to get the rate.

Which days count as peak over the holidays?

Mandai's price list makes Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays peak at the day parks. Night Safari also counts Fridays and the eve of any public holiday. Curiosity Cove counts every MOE school holiday day, so from 21 November to 31 December it is peak on weekdays too.

One discrepancy matters for Christmas week. The price list does not count public holiday eves as peak for the day parks, but the WildPass FAQ says regular days exclude "eve of and on public holidays" for all of them. Thursday 24 December and Thursday 31 December could therefore price either way at the Zoo or Bird Paradise: compare the checkout total before you book.

A dated calendar, from Mandai's park pages and visit advisories on 29 October:

  1. To 4 November: at Rainforest Wild Adventure, Canopy Jump is closed to 1 November and the Tiger Waterfall habitat to 2 November; Ravine Swing closes on 3 and 4 November.
  2. 7 to 9 November: Zoolympix launch weekend; Mandai warns that car parks fill fast. Deepavali falls on Sunday 8 November, and Mandai's pages do not say whether Monday 9 November is priced as a public holiday, so check the checkout total.
  3. 21 November: school holidays begin, and Curiosity Cove moves to peak prices and longer hours (to 6.30pm, last entry 5.30pm).
  4. 7 December: feeding sessions and keeper talks between 1pm and 2pm are off at the Zoo and Bird Paradise.
  5. 24 and 31 December: peak nights at Night Safari, ahead of the public holidays on 25 December and 1 January.
  6. 3 January 2027: Zoolympix and the AIA trail end.

A worked example: one family, three December days

Illustrative, with an invented family: the Rahmans, two adults and two children aged 6 and 9, all local residents, with each adult holding their own WildPass (it is personal and open from age 15), using the rates above.

  • Singapore Zoo on Tuesday 15 December: 2 × S$39 + 2 × S$27 = S$132.
  • The same visit on Saturday 19 December: 2 × S$44 + 2 × S$30 = S$148, or S$16 more.
  • Night Safari on Christmas Eve: 2 × S$52 + 2 × S$36 = S$176, against S$160 on Wednesday 23 December.

Of the three, the weekday zoo trip is the cheapest; it covers Zoolympix as well only if their tickets qualify for free Village entry. Splitting the cost with grandparents? Our group cost calculator rounds each share up.

Hosting a friend from overseas? Non-residents pay one price every day, for an adult S$49 at the Zoo or Bird Paradise, S$55 at Rainforest Wild Adventure and S$58 at Night Safari. The 2 Attractions Destination Pass (S$98) saves nothing against two S$49 parks but S$15 against Rainforest Wild Adventure and Night Safari (S$113 bought separately), so it pays most on the dearer pair. Single Night Safari ticket holders must still book a timeslot; Destination Pass holders have not needed one since 1 July 2026.

Rainforest Wild Adventure: full park or one zone?

Rainforest Wild Adventure now has EAST and WEST zones, open daily 9am to 6pm (last entry 5pm). Its ticket page shows the trade-off:

  • Full park: both zones, with up to 5 Adventure+ activities on weekdays but only 3 at weekends and on public holidays.
  • Single zone (local residents only): S$35 for an adult, S$25 for a child or student and S$18 for a senior, any day, with up to 3 Adventure+ activities on weekdays and 2 at weekends.
  • No refunds if an activity is closed on the day, so check the closures above.

Covered shoes are compulsory for Adventure+ activities. One zone may suit a family there for the animals; a weekday full-park ticket buys the most rides.

How do you get to Mandai on a busy holiday?

The transport page lists the M2 Khatib bus from Khatib MRT (NS14), daily 8.30am to midnight, about every 15 minutes, for S$2.50 (free for children under 7). It takes contactless cards and phones only, no cash. Bird Paradise and Rainforest Wild Adventure WEST are at Mandai Wildlife WEST; the Zoolympix Village is on the EAST side.

The free M1 shuttle links EAST and WEST every 15 minutes from 10.30am to 5.30pm. Leaving by taxi between 1pm and 11.59pm adds a S$5 surcharge.
