Halloween Horror Nights 2026: pick a night, plan the ride home

Halloween Horror Nights 14 is under way at Universal Studios Singapore. The 2026 edition runs on 18 select nights from 25 September to 1 November, from 7.30pm to 12.30am, and Resorts World Sentosa says it is not recommended for children under 13.

For a group, the useful decisions are which night to pick, whether a standard ticket covers what you want to do, and how everyone gets home from Sentosa after midnight.

Peak or non-peak: choosing a night

The official HHN 14 guide divides the season into two price categories:

• Non-peak: 25 and 26 September; 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 15 and 16 October.
• Peak: 10, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31 October; 1 November.

At the entry level, the difference is S$10 a ticket. “Peak” is RWS’s pricing category, not a crowd forecast: we cannot tell you how busy a particular night will be or how long its queues will run.

Illustrative example: four friends can only go out on Fridays. Their non-peak choices are 2, 9 and 16 October; the later Fridays, 23 and 30 October, are peak nights. If one friend cannot stay late, a non-peak Friday with an agreed leaving time may suit the group better than Halloween weekend itself.

Is a standard ticket enough?

RWS lists four haunted houses, two scare zones and three live shows this year. Its guide positions Express for guests whose priority is completing all four haunted houses in one night, while Express PLUS adds queue-skipping for participating rides. The R.I.P. Tour is a guided VIP option.

We have not tested queue times, so we cannot say whether a standard ticket will get you through every house on a given night. A more useful starting point is to decide what would make the evening worthwhile—“all four houses”, “two houses and a show”, or simply the atmosphere—before comparing upgrades. Buy the product that serves that aim, and check exactly what it includes at checkout.

Who should skip it or go by day instead?

RWS says HHN 14 may be too intense for young children and is not recommended for under-13s. That is the operator’s advice; before buying for a younger teenager, check the ticketing terms for any stricter entry condition, and consider the individual child rather than their age alone.

For a family, the daytime alternative is Trick or Thrills, part of RWS’s Festival of Thrills from 1 September to 1 November. RWS says it is included with regular Universal Studios Singapore admission, with a new show, character meet-and-greets and themed treats. HHN is ticketed separately, so check which event a ticket actually covers.

Plan the ride home before you go

This detail can easily spoil the end of the night. Sentosa’s Sentosa Express page lists the last train at midnight, while HHN runs until 12.30am. Unless RWS or Sentosa announces later services for event nights, staying to closing means arranging another way home.
