Run for LIFE
08 Jun 2013 7:00 am - 12:00 pm

Run for LIFE is a charity run organised by the Life Community Services Society (LCSS) – a registered non-profit charitable organization.

Established 17 years ago, LCSS is a member of the National Council of Social Service, conferred with IPC status.

Run For LIFE hopes to raise $400,000 to defray our four programs cost, which reaches out to more than 950 clients from different races and religions, most of whom are disadvantaged children and at-risk youths.

It also hopes to create awareness in support of children with incarcerated parents like Sam*, who lost his mother at a tender age and suffered physical and sexual abuse.

The Guest of Honour for Run for LIFE is Mr. Seah Kian Peng, the MP of Marine Parade GRC, who is also the Deputy Speaker of Parliament.

Yoga and Aerobics
27 Feb 2010 7:00 am - 31 Dec 2013 8:00 am

The most important benefit of yoga is physical and mental therapy. The aging process can be slowed down by practising yoga. By keeping the body clean, flexible and well-lubricated, it can significantly reduce the catabolic process of cell deterioration.

For aerobics, the benefits include increasing heart rate and deep breathing for extended period of time. During this activity, your body produces more energy and delivers more oxygen into your muscles. Regular aerobic workouts increase your ability to take in and transport oxygen more efficiently.

A combination of both exercises will enhance your well-being and achieve a healthier lifestyle.
